He holds in PhD degree in Management from Mumbai University. He is a member on the Advisory Board of Journal of Business Retail and Marketing Business Management (JBRMR), Journal of Development Research (JDR). He is editor in chief of Journal of Indian Retail (JIR). He has received many awards in recognition of his academic excellence from Higher Education Forum, Rajiv Gandhi award from Indian Solidarity Counsel. He has also authored three text books namely Mall Management, Strategic Retail Management and Cases in Retail Management.
