Perspectives on Indian Management: From Indus to India to Indian Management

This paper provides a historical perspective on development of the idea of Indian Management and its ancient sources in Ancient Indian Wisdom Books such as Ramayana, Mahabharata and Kautilaya's Arthasastra and draws lessons from them for contemporary organizations in terms of Good Governance, Resolving Ethical Dilemmas and Wealth Creation. It further suggests the need for moving towards WE (West + East) paradigm in Contemporary Indian Management (CIM)/ New Era of Indian Management
