The problem about the Hindu indentity of India is an issue raised by the distorted secular politics of India which has been contaminated by the compromises of the pre-Partition
communal politics. It is therefore understandable that for reasons of contemporaneity that drives 'secular' India that the Hindu identity of India my be underemphasised.
